Since arriving in the Berkshires in 1981 for a teaching job at the Berkshire Learning Center, a (now defunct) residential psycho-educational institution serving adolescents, my community affiliations include Pittsfield Irish Sister City Committee (charter member and first clerk), BerkshiresJazz.org (founding member and webmaster), St. Anne Church (various roles besides election to the parish council).
